Sanding belt cleaning devices with effective cleaning performance

The accumulating sanding dust is eliminated directly behind the sanding area. According to this principle at Heesemann all belt cleaning devices are located close to the extraction area at the lower drive roller of the sanding unit. The reason why this way of extraction in this area is so effective is simply the corresponding roller with its shape as a cylindric device. This allows the optimal opening of the pores of the sanding belt in this area. The dust extraction provides an air circulation against the run direction of the sanding belt (principle of countercurrent). This allows a high grade of inclusion of the dust. Due to this reason it is not necessary to have a second dust extraction channel, which would have to be installed in case of a construction at the top of the corresponding sanding unit. The result of the combined sanding belt cleaning and dust extraction in the area of the lower roller of the sanding unit are very low values of dust extraction. We legitimatly can mention the very low necessary air speed of only 20 m/sec.
